Program Overview

Achieving a competitive advantage in today's business world depends increasingly on successful integration of management and technology which encompasses every aspect of the modern business enterprise. Succeeding in this environment requires that people master the combined skills, knowledge and leadership to manage not only business effectively, but the associated technology as well.

The curriculum approaches technology from a business perspective, emphasizing the strategic issues that confront managers today. It is designed to teach students to be effective managers of technology (e.g., manufacturing, IT, health care), with the ability to evaluate the benefits of emerging technologies and apply them strategically in the business environment.

The BS in Technology Management program courses are open for enrollment twice a month.

Program Objectives

The graduate of the BS in Technology Management is able to:

  • Define and provide examples of positioning technology strategically to enhance core business performance.
  • Plan, organize, lead, and control technology projects in business, government or non-profits.
  • Deliver effective oral and written communications.
  • Use various accounting methods effectively within a business environment.
  • Apply the strategic management process to an analysis of the current business and technology environment, identifying and forecasting trends, and making recommendations on preferred courses of action.
  • Produce a project drawn from professional experience.
