Terry CaulderTell us a little about your background and where you are stationed/ living now?
My name is Terry Caulder. I am 32 years old and have worked in the IT career field for over 15 years now. I started working in IT with the US Army as Satellite Communications Tech. I got out of the Army after 4 years and then worked with MCI as a Telecommunications Tech. I am now working for ITT and working in Basra Iraq as a Network Admin.

What attracted you to distance learning and to American Sentinel University?
The ability to work online since I am not able to attend a traditional university, since I am in Iraq.

What are your educational goals and what do you hope to accomplish in the future?
My immediate educational goals are to acquire my Bachelor's degree from American Sentinel. That will help me secure a top-level job in IT. I will then work toward a Masters in Business Management. Eventually I want to start my own IT company.

Any "lessons learned" advice you would like to offer other college students who are in the military?
Be persistent in your educational goals and continue striving for more.
