VA Benefits

American Sentinel University is approved by the Colorado and Alabama State Approving Agencies for Veteran's Benefits. This allows students to use their VA benefits at American Sentinel University and receive the maximum tuition reimbursement amounts. The VA-benefits have the following guidelines:

  • Terms are 8 and 12 weeks in length, depending on the course.
  • Payments are made directly to the student.
  • Terms begin each month.
  • VA benefits apply only to veterans; dependents are not eligible.
  • VA benefits may be used in conjunction with company reimbursement as long as the employer is not the federal government.

Most VA programs allow veterans 10 years from the date of separation listed on the Military Discharge (DD214) form to use their Veterans Benefits, unless that veteran was unable to attend due to a documented mental or physical disability or reentry into active duty.

Determine Your Eligibility

To determine your eligibility for VA educational benefits, visit the Department of Veterans Affairs or call 1-800-827-1000 (U.S. only). All admissions requirements must be completed and the VA recipient (veteran) must be a registered student at American Sentinel University before he/she will be certified for VA benefits.

Payment of tuition and fees is a part of the enrollment process and a student is not a registered student until payment is received. For more information, see the step-by-step VA-application process or contact the Admissions Advisors at 1-800-729-2427 (U.S. only) or +1-205-323-6191 (international), or military@AmericanSentinel.edu.
